Know that your nature is threefold in One; physical, astral, and mental. Each of these three dimensions has three qualities, for a total of nine. As below, so above. In the physical are channels that carry the blood in a vertical motion. It responds to the beating of the heart. The blood is propelled by beating. In the nervous system, magnetism moves to reach and nourish the cells and tissues. There are also subtle channels that carry the Akasa. These channels are subtle but nevertheless physical. Each of these three dimensions is related to the others, each affecting the life of the body. Finally, there is the ether that spreads from the skeletal system. The secret of life in the body lies in the mastery of these forces. The adept renounces the use of these forces when he arrives at the point where his life's purpose is fulfilled. The astral, which is the mediator between the above and the below, is threefold in nature. It is not physical, it is not spiritual but capable of moving from one to the other. The mind is also threefold. It carries the will of the Great ONE. In this life, it is the one that arbitrates the relationships between cause and effect. |
